Camping and Resmed S9

Post by wlk » Wed Sep 28, 2011 8:25 am

I have camped with my Respironics machine for three years. A newly diagnosed teen I know wants to camp with his CPAP and has aked me for advice. I know nothing abour Resmed machines.

He has a Resmed S9 item number RT36006 EA and the humidifier is ResMed H5i, item number RT36900 EA. I am sure any solution will not include the humidifier.

I guess the major thing I must discover is the input voltage and current requirements of the machine. I am also curious about the capabilities of that machine.

I have referred him to this forum. I am hopeful that we will join.

Thanks!

Search the posts for battery back up. There has been much discussion about this.

I just located the Resmed battery documentaion. Looks like a MSW inverter and appropriate battery will do the job.

OK, the 36006 is the S9 VPAP™ Auto. So a 150W MSW inverter should still work.
