S9 Help with climate control

Post by jobe2433 » Sun Sep 25, 2011 5:54 pm

I am trying to figure out how to adjust my humidity settings without using the climate control. I know if I turn the air hose just a little I can adjust my humidity. But, Is this allowing the hose to still warm the air? Is there other ways of doing this ? Thank you..

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Are you using the Climateline hose or regular slimline hose?

I am confused. I have a climate control tubing. I think the function is to regulate temp and humidity in the tubing to prevent rain out, but I don't think there is anything you can adjust on the climate control line. The humidifier settings are a separate function that you can adjust. I think.

If you are using the Climateline, there is a feature where you can go into settings and change the ability to regulate the temp of the hose vs the humidity. Where they are two separate functions to adjust.

http://www.cpaplibrary.com/machines.html

It'll show you different features on how it works.

Look for Uncle Bob's signature and download the clinicians guide for S9. You got into your settings and turn off the auto climate control. That way you can set the humidity and temp separate. I think though you loose the heated hose function when you do that.

On auto with the climate line you get 80% humidity at the temp you set it for.
Diagnosed 08/31/10. Titration 9/02/10. Started CPAP 11/01/10. Auto mode 10-15cm. Alternate mask GoLife for her. Back up mask Full-life full face w/Pad-a-cheek mask liner. Comtec CMS F50 wrist pulse oximeter. Sobakawa Cloud Pillow, Sleepyhead software

Climate control is turned on when you install the climate control hose and ( looking from the front) twist it counter clockwise. Then the screen will say climate control is on. You then can only set the temperature.

That can be turned off so that humidity and temperature can be controlled separately. Must be enabled for patient in the clinician's settings menu.
