Jerimiah's data:jeremiahchub wrote:Here is the pic from 9-19-2011 with all the graphs. Let me know. http://jeremiah.iamnotsecondclass.com/c ... 9-2011.jpg

First observation: (and a request for clarification.) This data starts at NOON on Sept. 19 where NOON represents what? Are you using Encore Viewer or Encore Pro?
Because if you are using Encore Viewer, the software is picking up the GMT offset from your computer and the NOON in the chart represents NOON local time.
But if you are using Encore PRO, the software does not automatically pick up the GMT offset from your computer. And unless you go into the preferences and chose the correct time zone, that NOON represents NOON GMT instead of NOON local time.
So if this came from Encore PRO, can you check the time zone setting please and make sure it's correct so that all your sleep shows in one basic chunk.
Second observation: Since your location is Indiana, your local time is most likely Eastern Standard Time since Indiana doesn't observe daylight time (if I recall correctly). That means that NOON GMT is equal to 7:00 AM local time. So, one of the following is true, but I can't tell which:
- NOON on the Encore report is NOON Indiana time and you slept during the following times from NOON Sept. 19 to NOON Sept 20:
- noon to 4:30pm (with the sleep period likely starting earlier in the morning of Sept. 19)
- 11:00 pm to not quite 5:00 am on Sept. 20
- 10:00 am to NOON on Sep. 20 (with the sleep period likely continuing until later in the afternoon of Sept. 20)
OR
NOON on the Encore report is NOON GMT = 7:00 AM Indiana Time and you slept during the following times from 7:00AM Sept. 19 to 7:00AM Sept 20:- 7:00 am to 11:30 am on Sept 19 (with the sleep period likely beginning before 7:00 am Indiana time)
- 6:00 pm to almost midnight on Sept 19
- 5:00 am to 7:00 am on Sept. 20 (with the sleep period likely ending after Sept. 20, 7:00 am Indiana time)
Third observation: Regardless of the time zone problem with the NOON Sept. 19 label, there are three "obvious" chunks of sleep. One of those chunks represents an overlong nap followed by an inability to get back to sleep at the time you want your bedtime to be. The obvious questions are:
- What's triggering the overlong nap in the first place?
- What do you do when the insomnia monster raises his ugly head?
- What do you do during those periods where the machine is not recording any data at all?
