CPAP Issues/Still tired

Post by Magnum » Sun Sep 18, 2011 3:00 pm

I have not been on here in a while.I have seen a second sleep therapist and still having problems with being tired during the day. The card from my CPAP always shows I am getting the right amount of sleep, but I have always suspect something was not right. Today I woke up and realized my CPAP was not providing the air I needed it was going on and off. I suspect it might have been something like this all along. I noticed the humidifier light flashing so I am looking for my manual now, it has been probably two years since I bought the manual. Its a M Series Auto CPAP Machine with C-Flex.

While I looking to trouble shoot the unit or have it repaired. Is it possible it could have been doing this longer than just one night and I just realized it? I have a backup machine but it is not a CPAP so will take a bit to get used to it.

Could the going on and off be the autostart doing its thing?

Additional Comments: Pressure is 11-14. Old CPAP was a Resmed S6 Lightweight. Also have Profile lite mask. ResScan is actually version 3.14. Now I use Sleepyhead.

Turn "auto start" and "auto off" off, if you haven't already. Check all power cords and plugs. I see you have a card reader; can you download the machine's data to your computer and view it? That might shed some light on what has been happening.

When my m-series does anything stupid...I just unplug the little plug at the back of the machine, wait about a minute, & plug it back in. Seems to reset itself and gets back to normal.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

You have the software? If so, do the reports show a break in use as in not being on.

I have the software, but I no longer had the computer to run it on. It will not install (or would not) on Vista, have not tried W7.

I actually slept without the machine last night and woke up feeling better than I have in months. Still got tired about half way through the day, but definitely better.
