Monday night was my first night on cpap at home. Went pretty good, Quattro FX ended up leaking, and waking me up every 45 minutes, at the end of my ramp time and at full pressure. Still pretty tired during the day, but I think better than no cpap and suffocating all night.
Tuesday night, I think the new headgear has stretched out, so I tighten it up. Wow big difference, no leaks, I don't think I even moved. Woke up an hour before my alarm and felt 20 years younger. Now that's what I'm talking about.
Wednesday night. Headgear seemed loose again, so I tighten it up. Woke up a few times in the night, wife was coughing, so I think that's what woke me up. Feel pretty good today, but not like yesterday.
I hope Tuesday night was not a fluke, that's how I want to feel everyday.
Does anyone have any advice on how to have more good night's of sleep?
Thread title in reference to the 80's band School of Fish due to how I felt yesterday, 20 years younger
Thanks for all your help last week getting my machine and whatnot. I am more of a lurker that a poster, but was.

Re: Three strange days....
Once you get your mask adjusted right, your during-the-night adjustments should be minimal. If your mask is too tight, it's like having the mask not tight enough... they will both leak. Try having the mask tight enough to sorta "float" on your face. That's what you are looking for. Looks to me that you are normal in your experience. Keep working at trying to prevent leaks. That is the key to sucess. Eventually, after you done all you can to stop leaks, you may have to try a different mask. Mask shopping is normal and finding the right mask for you is the key to sucess.

Re: Three strange days....
It's a PITA with our machine but the best way to reduce leaks at full pressure is to adjust the mask at full pressure. Since the machine lacks a mask fit feature, this means going into the clinicians menu, setting it to straight CPAP at full pressure with no ramp, adjusting the mask, and then restoring the usual settings. PITA, PITA, PITA!!!
After a while you will learn little tricks like just pushing your face slightly into the pillow to stop a small leak.
Over time you will have more and more good nights until most nights are good and it will feel great!
