Nasal Irritation
I've been on CPAP therapy for 2 1/2 years and using the Res Med Activa nasal mask for about 2 years. I've recently developed irritation around my nostrils, sort of like chapped lips. Any suggestions?

Nipple cream!
Lanisoh is a pure lanolin cream that will take care of your nose without causing any problems with your mask (petroleum-based products like chapstick may or may not degrade the silicone in your mask). It's sold as a nipple cream for nursing mothers, so you'll find it in the baby section of the store. It's great stuff, though. No odor, not greasy. It's sort of expensive (about $12 for the tube), but you only need a tiny dab at a time, so it will last you a very long time.
