I'm coming up on my one-month CPAP anniversary, and so far haven't had too many issues. Last night was the exception - I felt like I had a nose hair which was tickling my nostril and it was waking me up many times in the night.
I'd pull the mask up, and rip out some more nose hairs (part of getting old!), but to no avail.
Finally around 4:30AM I took the mask into the bathroom and looked at it. Apparently when I had reassembled the nose/seal piece, I got a single piece of my wife's long hair trapped in the nose piece - it was that hair which was tickling my nose all night. After taking the mask apart and removing the offending hair, all was well.
Sheesh - I pulled out those nose hairs for nothing!

I know the feeling! Try keeping all the equipment clean when you have two dogs and one cat in the house! Used to be both dogs slept at the foot of the bed, since I started treatment the hose scares them! Alone again!

Oh, no! LOL, that's sad. I guess we all get those aggravating nights from time to time. Hoping tonight is better for you!

Ouch! That must have hurt!
At least you were lucky enough to search and destroy the offender.
I've had things tickle my nose but could never find it. Must be a little gremlin residing in my mask time to time.

The itch always appears right after you've put on the mask, adjusted it for a perfect seal, tested the seal, snapped it shut, and laid your head down.
Thinking of quitting CPAP?
No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:
Advanced funeral planning. When you give up CPAP, you'll probably need it.
