Resmed S9 Hypo Filter (generic vs oem)

Just thought I'd share with everyone my experience with the S9 Hypoallergenic Filters. I purchased both the OEM from resmed (part # 36856) and generic from cpap.com. The cost of the OEM part was a little more expensive being $4.95 for 2 (2.47 each) versus 13.95 for 6 (2.32 each). Cost aside, one thing that I have noticed is that the OEM filter by Resmed seems to be slightly thicker. It also seems to catch more dust as well as I'm having to replace this OEM filter much earlier as it seems to get dirtier much quicker.

Of course, this could all be in my mind since I haven't broken out the micrometer. However to me it seems like the OEM filter by resmed seems to be made a bit better and I won't be purchasing the generic furthermore. Just wish that cpap.com would go back to selling the oem filter or Crapia would start carrying them lol. Now where to buy these? lol
