As usual, before I go to bed, I like to have a look at my 7 and 30 day averages on the screen of my machine (I usually read the detailed reports using the software on sundays). And this evening, I noticed that in the days with more than 4 hours use page, my average is down by one day (7 day average is 6, and 30 day average is 29). And since I know I used my machine all night, that surprised me so I started my computer again and had a look at the data: last night I used the machine for 7h55 (and that is more than 4h in my world ).
The results in Encore are correct and confirm that the machine didn't stop after I went asleep and start again just before my alarm clock went off...
Has anybody already had that problem? I guess it's not important as the data is apparently correctly recorded on the SD card but still I am annoyed to see my averages messed up with... (especially since I have used my machine every night, all night, since I've had it except for one overnight flight US-France where there were too many films to watch on the IFE!)
The summary page on the machine screen is correct (increase from 1556.7 hours to 1564.6 hours and days 193 to 194, yes I do write them down in a notebook ).

Re: Strange calculation by machine
I've never used that machine, but did you look at your data later than usual? It may be you were missing one night because you hadn't been to sleep yet, but if you looked at the averages earlier in the day, it wouldn't count the night to come.

Re: Strange calculation by machine
No, I checked as usual just before going to bed, around 11 pm. The change from one day to the other happens at 2 pm. I'll see this evening if something has changed (back to 7/30, stays at 6/29, or down to 5/28).
Although I am not too worried as the software printouts give me all information I need (and compliance for insurance purposes). But I just hope it is not the sign that the machine is having problems that could get worse (it is just 6 months old!!).

Re: Strange calculation by machine
I doubt it's any kind of hardware problem--more likely just a bug in the firmware. Speaking of which, I've noticed that with Encore Pro, my AHI gets inflated if there is a night for which the number of incidents of either CA or OA is fewer than the number of hours of therapy. Instead of dividing by hours, the software just rounds up to 1.Bluecat wrote:

I don't seem to have that problem... That's a strange one too!!moresleep wrote: Speaking of which, I've noticed that with Encore Pro, my AHI gets inflated if there is a night for which the number of incidents of either CA or OA is fewer than the number of hours of therapy. Re: Strange calculation by machine
Hello all!
Just back from work!! Checked the display (it has now taken into account last night, since time is after 2 pm french time). No change in the compliance data: average days of use with more than 4 hours: 6 and 29... So last night was counted but the night before seems lost to the machine regarding this calculation at least!
