I've never been as disappointed in anything as I am my CPAP. I knew there might be an adjustment period. But I wasn't expecting to feel so much worse with it than I did before. I think I want to go to a different doctor . . .
You really need to see a sinusologist.
If you have chronic sinus issues that you didn't disclose to your doctor, don't blame your CPAP machine. Go find a mirror and point to the image you see in it. You can smirk a little, too, if you think that might help. Then pick up a phone and make an appointment to get the sinus problem looked at, and make sure you tell the doc' that you're on CPAP. They'll know what that means.
The sleep specialist didn't ask about sinus problems. I was sent to them by my primary care physician- who should know about the sinus problems since I wind up on antibiotics four or five times a year for sinus infections. The sleep specialist I was sent to didn't ask about allergies, sinuses or look at my throat. I am a newbie who just wants to sleep past 3 in the morning. When I told the "doctor" that, he smirked at me and told me my body "is adjusted to waking up with the chickens." It wasn't until I found this board that I discovered that sinuses should have been discussed, or the other things. My PCP heard that I snore and wake up and sent me straight to a sleep study where the technician told me I have apnea and had to come back for a second study. Then I met with a dr who called in a prescription I never saw, never went over results with me, never asked about sinuses never looked at my throat, told me to loose weight and to come back in 6 weeks.
I finally saved up the money to buy the CPAP I was told to buy and the results are that I feel worse. Stupid me- I trusted two doctors. This is all new territory to me.

The doctors did what they knew how to do. Since you have sleep apnea you now have the therapy to deal with it. Now you need to see and ENT and someone who specializes in migraines. For many people health is not "one stop shopping".
