Post by bitrob » Tue Aug 23, 2011 10:45 am

Does anyone else out there have bad facial swelling since using their cpap machine? My sinuses and eyes are very swollen and I have tried three different masks and can't seem to get the swelling down. any ideas?

I used to have intermittent eye swelling as well, but from suggestions on this forum I tried using an eye mask and have never experienced the swelling ever since. The theory seems to be that sometimes air can leak out of the nasal pillow and blowing air over the eye can cause the swelling.

I get mild swelling in my face occassionally. Nothing in sinuses. I wear nasal pillow and chin strap.
