I don't think we shd be that harsh with them, whatever their professions are. Like the other post says, many physicians don't know much abt sleep apnea. Secondly, I consider myself quite disciplined and determined and after 3 wks on apap, I've struggled and it really tested my patience and will. As I've posted b4, I switched to what i thought was a much better , comfortable mask. I've used the machine while not sleeping. I've tried everything. I"ve pestered the DME. i've emailed to my MD. I've gone to 3 AWAKE meetings. I've tried to the length of what I could. But I just can't risk getting fired and be on the machine if being on it makes me awake ALL night. Maybe the dude just can't tolerate it. I'm still trying, but the MD says I might need to consider alternatives....

What disturbed me the most was this dentist flat refused alternatives.....like a dental device. Why should anyone else use a dental device if a dentist will not?
