Mask Hose PigTail

Post by squid13 » Sun Aug 21, 2011 4:37 pm

I use a climate line hose and a hose buddy and with the Swift FX it's just the right length on account of the hose length on the Swift FX. I also have a Mirage Quattro FF to use this winter when I know I'll have a head cold. The problem is to use it I have to take the climate line hose off the hose buddy to use, and I got the machine as close as I can get it. Do they make a slime line pig tail of a hose about 18" long with a male fitting on one end and a female fitting on the other. If they do it would work perfect just like the Swift FX. I could just put it on the Mirage and use it like a pig tail for hooking up to the main hose.

I guess I could use an 18" or 24" humidifier hose and use a hose connector to couple it to my main hose. My question would be going from a slimline hose to a regular hose for 18 or 24 inches, what effect would this have on my therapy?

I wanted to extend my hose so I ordered an 18" Humidifier Hose from cpap.com and found I couldn't use it because of male fittings on both ends. I'm waiting to hear back from cpap.com re exchanging for one with male and female ends. What do you mean by "hose connector"?

They call it a hose connector but it's nothing but a coupler for connecting two hoses together. The humidifier hose has two female ends.
