This is partially a repost. I have reinstalled the software but I still cannot load data. I get a message that there are no devices available for downloading data.
When I open the software I get the following message:
-ASSERTE
intf!=o c
C:\PROGRA~1\Borland\C BUILD~1\Bin\..\include vcf\Util Cls.L/286 8 (Or something similar.It's hard to copy)
Then I get the option to terminate, to continue or to debug.
I would appreciate any help. Incidentally the data on the card does download to my computer but I have no way to read it.

Re: ResScan
Thanks for the reply. How do I uninstall Borland? I have no idea what it is.
Re: ResScan
I am assuming you are using windows, and it looks like the Rescan is using C, or C+ programming language.Butch32940 wrote:Thanks for the reply. How do I uninstall Borland? I have no idea what it is.
so, windows XP (Im not sure about Vista), start, control panel, add/remove programs. find Borland and uninstall it, then try it, Reinstall rescan if Rescan then doesnt work, reinstall borland. I suggest a full backup of your system before making these changes - either windows system restore as a minimum, or something like Acronis TrueImage to do the whole C drive (the safest option), with a CD rescue boot disk.
ahh, as our lives increasingly depend on computers.....

Re: ResScan
I cannot find any program indicating Borland. Could it have another designation. I reinstalled the ResScan software and still get the same message. I'm using Windows 7. Could that be the problem? I really do appreciate all of the help.
Re: ResScan
Have you tried pressing continue? It looks like your computer has had Borland's C Builder installed and setup with windows to handle errors. If it is no longer used you should be able to uninstall it and at least have it out of the way in the error handling. What OS are you using? Where is the SD card? The message no devices available for downloading data means ResScan can't find the SD Card. It doesn't mean the SD card isn't visible from windows explorer, I haven't figured out why but ResScan won't see the SD card in the built in card reader on my computer but it will see it in an external USB card reader.Butch32940 wrote:This is partially a repost. I would try booting your PC in safe mode and seeing what happens then :-
As you power on your PC hold down the F8 key on your keyboard
Before the PC fully boots you will get a basic black and white screen with a menu
use the down arrow cursor to select safe mode and hit enter.
windows will boot with a minimal amount of drivers, the screen graphics resolution will be really low.
When it boots start ResScan (click ignore or continue if it complains about the screen resolution being too low) and see if you can download your data.
This works on my windows 7 PC with built in card reader but it takes ages to download the data (20 mins)
