Kelly,
Does James have regular access to a computer now? I read something he wrote about moving in with his parents and not having regular access to a computer except "in town". Are you going to be going with him to the States? When will he be going?
Thanks,
SU

He was staying with me at a friend's place. They did not have internet, which was very hard for him. He is now staying at his parents' new apartment that they will move into in September. I am trying to find him a new apartment for September. Hopefully it will be closer to his friends and community of support.
So yes, he does have regular internet now.
We are both going on the 7th of August and his appointment with Dr. Houser is on the 8th. We will leave on the 13th, we are hoping to get a followup appointment before we leave but he can't book a second appointment.

He's just having an appointment or surgery/procedure?

If I remember correctly James has a sister and brother in law who live in the Cleveland vicinity. Or did 4-5 years ago anyway.

As I prepare for my trip to Cleveland tomorrow I wanted to thank each of you who sent me a donation to help with the trip.
Its extremely moving to have people from here reach out to help. Your generosity brought me to tears. Thank You.

The trip to Cleveland went as good as could be expected I guess. I was hoping for a miracle but of course that didn't happen. Nothing can be done to cure the damage done to my nose in March. I'm having a very hard time accepting that fact and living with the physical agony. I will return to Cleveland in March to have some injections put in my nose to try and improve the sensation of airflow but it won't be a dramatic improvement.

The local community put together a wonderful benefit concert for me recently. Here are some pictures from that event:

Thanks to everyone who has sent me messages, donations, and have been so kind.

Thanks so much for the update, James.

So sorry to hear the Cleveland doctor couldn't hold out a miracle for you, but you were mentally prepared going into the appointment. Hoping, hoping...but realistic at the same time.

You sure have wonderful friends supporting you and continuing to pull for you. Will keep hoping you get some relief.

James, wishing you the strength and courage to deal with this challenge. Remember, they say that those of us who struggle need to share what we experienced so that others learn of the journey. Thank you for all you've shared.
