Well I can't bitch. It was definitely better than the first night and better than I expected it to be. I was preparing to go into the bedroom like going to a war (and I'm not into wars). I slept pretty quickly (exhausted from the night before?) around 10.30 pm. Woke up once at 2.30 after some bad dreams (haven't had those in a long time but to be fair , could have been made worse by a garlicky bean dish I had for dinner) and went to pee. I came back and noticed the machine had fallen on the floor! Got back into bed and thought it would take me ages to fall asleep again and was thinking "I've ruined the machine etc etc" but actually fell asleep pretty fast again. Woke up again at 5.30 am, bathroom, came back and lay in bed with mask on for a few mins but realised I wasn't going to sleep and my alarm would go off in an hour anyway. So I took the mask off and just enjoyed cuddling up to pillow on my side without tubes and masks - happy with the thought that night 2 was better that night 1.
We are visiting another city for the weekend, staying in hotel. Taking mask with me. Let's see how that goes.
Second night with mask
Re: Second night with mask
Congratulations.
Try to avoid ever going back bed without the CPAP. You may find yourself getting in the habit of waking up and not being able to get back to sleep with the mask. Then you may start taking it off without remembering it.
