Mask no longer tacky

Post by Rigby » Thu Feb 09, 2006 8:15 pm

Hello all, I, too am back for another visit. Started my CPAP around six months ago and you guys really helped me a lot! I have another question - I use the Comfort Lite nasal mask. I have about three masks, and after using them for a month or so, they're no longer "tacky" - that is, they don't seem to form an adequate seal on my face. I wash them with warm water and liquid dish soap, and I wash my face faithfully before bed. These things ought to last longer, right? Is there something else I can use to wash the mask? Thanks!

"I can't breathe!"
"Turn your machine on!"
"Oh."

You have to use a mild soap like Johnson and Johnsons' baby shampoo. The dish soap, I have heard, can weaken the integrity of the seal.
