Cuddling/spooning on CPAP

Post by finallywakingup » Sun Jul 24, 2011 8:08 am

I'm a relatively new CPAP user. Using a Swift Fx. What are some suggestions for cuddling/spooning with my fiance (the mask blows on her)?

Put the mask on after the cuddling...when you are ready to sleep.

We are able to cuddle and spoon WITH my mask on. It DOES take a little position adjusting, but it can be done. If I have my back to my husband, it's a bit easier. If I'm facing him, he turns in a way that he's close to me, but NOT up against my mask and I throw my arm over him.

It's great to see this as a topic -- trying to stay as normal as possible with a cpap.

I cuddle first and when I turn over to go to sleep (to prevent the mask venting on my mate) then I mask up and cuddle back to back. We're both asleep pretty quickly.

We manage to cuddle and spoon with the mask on, too. Just have to be careful that his arm doesn't hit the top of my head where the top mask strap is, because that shifts the position of the nasal pillows and they leak. We also cuddle before I mask up. I do miss going to sleep face to face, though. Sigh...

Unless you both have CPAP, it works fine for the hosed one to face out, the non-hosed one to spoon from the back.

You can solve the problem of air blasts by adding a diffuser to the mask.

I like to cuddle up to my girlfriend's back, and so would worry about mask air blowing on her head. I have made sure the pillow case partially covered the exiting air, and there doesnt seem to be any problem. Of course, now she is getting her own cpap, so we can take turns "blowing on each other":D

Love this topic!

I'm hoping my hubby and I get back into a regular routine of spooning, because right now during the adjustment time, this has been somewhat lost in the shuffle.

This is our technique - sort of - I pull a bit of the sheet up between my exhaust and his back. You'd think on hot summer nights the exhaust would be refreshing LOL

I think i motto these today in fat, they are really zealous!
But force no idea of the opulence standing, ill-starred!

I truly DISPOSITION those dresses, I deceive seen them all to the place. If I had the core (and spondulicks) I would decidedly become one. I love Megan Fox too, she is my height. I hanker I had her core!
