Explaining my Other vote:

I fall easily to sleep. Unless I'm very stressed out, I sleep pretty well. BUT I wake up multiple times a night. It seems that every time I roll over, I wake up. Partly because I need to adjust my pillow and mask, but also, I need to adjust my body and PJ's. I'd guess I wake up to 10 times a night. I've tried to be aware of why and it seems that usually there's some ache or pain requiring me to roll over. Usually in my knees or hips or shoulders. Wake up feel pretty well rested though I WISH I could just fall asleep and not wake at all til morning.

Sums it up for me too, when I wake up I adj the mask and take a sip of water, go back to sleep. Time awake each time less than two minutes. Sleeping period 4 AM to NOON, with T.V. on 4 AM to 6 AM, not the thing to do, but it works for me, I doze in and out while the t.v. runs miss most of the shows.

Fall asleep watching T.V. after dinner, miss some shows, that's probably why I wake up so much in bed. Over all I am more awake using XPAP treatment, no more falling asleep while driving. Jim

I sleep through the night, almost every night. Once in a while I wake up from back pain, but that has nothing to do with BiPap so I can't blame it on that.

I still feel like I could sleep a bit longer; but since I'm not dozing off during the day, I must be all right.
Hubby is not quite as successful, but he keeps trying.

I have a 'mixed bag'. Sometimes I have trouble getting to sleep when I first go to bed, ie. I lay there for over an hour before giving up and taking several aspirin or Ibuprofen to (relax) knock myself out so I can sleep. Normally I get up several times to pee, and go right back to sleep. Other times I wake up for no reason and am wide awake for 1/2 an hour: that happened before getting the machine, and it's beginning to happen again now, after 9 months of therapy. It could be that I have an event and the S9 increases pressure abruptly to open my airway, and that wakes me.

My 45 year old brother had a stroke last month and I have a lot on my mind....I keep myself awake as I often mull over problems while in bed (and sometimes get solutions which is a good thing).
Here's a good nights sleep for everyone!
Cindy
Cindy, I am sorry to hear about your brother; he is so very young to have that happen.

I WAS sleeping fine on my Resmed S8 APAP until December. Sleeping awful on a later model Resmed APAP now though. They evidently changed some things. I cannot function without my sleep apnea gear. Without it, I become disabled.
