What data is available on screen in P/R System One Auto

Post by Bookbear » Wed Jul 20, 2011 12:17 pm

I currently have an older ResMed S8 Vantage Auto that is making loud whining noises when operating. Given the age of the machine and the likely repair costs, I am looking at replacing it with a new machine. Could someone tell me exactly what on-screen data is provided by the the P/R System One Auto model? I understand that Philips has added some data reporting to the screen, similar to what the ResMed machine provides now, but what exactly does it report? Are they daily or weekly values? Cumulative values only? Does the fully data-capable straight cpap version of the System One provide the same data?

Thanks for any information!

There's still too little data on the PR System One screen BUT there's excellent data available on the SD card that can be read with proprietary software or using Onkor or Sleepyhead.

On the System One screen you can see only 7 and 30 day AVERAGES for the following:
Large Leak (almost useless, except that if ANYTHING shows up here you've got big leak issues)
AHI (no breakdown)
Periodic Breathing
And plenty of compliance data (who cares???)

For the screen data alone I'd choose an S9 auto over the PR S1, but otherwise the PR S1 is an excellent machine and the data is there if you take the time to download the card when you want to see it.

The PRS1 on screen data is nothing to write home about. Sleepyhead software is easy to use and shows a lot of promise regardless which machine you choose.

My choice would revolve around which the software I had access to.

And GEEZ, what a horrible LCD screen they use. My watch from 1985 has a better and more readable LCD screen. Hello Philips, last century is calling and they want their LCD back.

They have started using either a better screen or something now, as my new Rev 3 is much improved over the Rev 0 I had. I am very pleased with the newer and MUCH quieter Rev 3 model.
