How do I analyze the information on my SD card
Hello all,
I was diagnosed with chronic Sleep Apnea in Feb 2011 and have been using a CPAP since then. I have the ResMed S9 Elite. I would be going to my doc in another month or so to see how I am doing and so on. I would like to analyze my data that's stored on the SD card in my machine. I know that the place that gave me the machine does it for free the first time, but I would love to learn where I can get this software and how to use it/interpret it myself so that I can constantly check this for free, even after the first time. Any help is highly appreciated!
Thank you all,
KP

I purchase the EncoreViewer 2.0 software on cpap.com. You can see the page at https://www.cpap.com/cpap-software/cpap ... ftware.php - The cost is $99.00 without the card reader. My PC is fairly new which means I did not need to buy the card reader - the machine has a slot to accept an SD card. You may need to purchase the card reader if your machine is older.karthikvprasad wrote:Hello all,

Your type of software won't work with a ResMed S9 Elite, you use a different brand of machine. The software must be made for the Brand of machine used. Re: How do I analyze the information on my SD card
This is a related question so appropriate for this thread. I have downloaded the software for the resmed 9 (mine is the autoset, in contrast to the elite of the original poster, but I believe that the software is the same).
Now what do I do? I have an internal sd card reader on my computer. I assume I start up the software and stick the card in there? Then will the data from the card automatically download?
The excellent tutorial linked to doesn't show how to start.
I don't even know where the card is in my machine yet but I assume I can find it by poking around.
Thanks.

Yes, the software is the same. BTW about halfway through the install process is a prompt to install card reader driver software. Remove check marks for any it wants to default to as they are not needed with the SD card. They are only needed for the very special card reader used for the S8 and older machines. Install may fail if you try to install that driver software because it is not compatible with some Windows versions.goldfinch wrote:Now what do I do? I have an internal sd card reader on my computer. Insert SD card in SD card slot on computer.
Open ResScan
Unsure if the sequence is critical. Could possibly Open ResScan first but I don't think an import prompt will come up all by itself/
Should be a place to click on to prompt to import data that defaults to summary data and you will need to change it to all data to get details. I don't use this software so can't give specifics but I will look around to see if I can find better instructions unless someone here posts them.
Edit to add this ResScan clinical user guide link. See if it answers the how to download steps question.

Re: How do I analyze the information on my SD card
Our original poster is gone so I'll continue with my questions. I put in the card and I was able to download the data. Now the issue is how to understand what I have downloaded. Is there any kind of tutorial available?

You can post screenshots with your specific questions. The tutorial has great tips for getting the view and display right for what you want to show.goldfinch wrote:Our original poster is gone so I'll continue with my questions. Hi, I tried to download the software using the link on Uncle_Bob's signature and I was directed to a link that asked for 'Organisation'. What should I enter here? Also, is this software free? Thanks!Pugsy wrote: Do a forum search for a post by member Uncle_Bob. Look in his signature line for software link information and clinician manual if you don't have the manual.

goldfinch, you will find your SD card behind your filter cover at the top. You just have to push it in and it will pop out.
