Size of Fisher Paykel 432

Post by louspeachy » Mon Jun 27, 2011 6:02 pm

Thanks to a member who kindly sent me a size xl Fisher & Paykel 432 mask that ended up being too large ( but I can use the frame & headgear....thanks again) and realizing the medium I had was too small, I was able to determine I needed a large. I got the lg seal/foam on Ebay for practically nothing and now I have a mask that fits comfortably!

FYI, this mask DOES run small as I have always been a med in other masks.

I have a medium and hated it for 3 nights but maybe I'll try it again. I couldn't get it off fast to use the potty in the middle of the nite.
How do you like your mask and how long have you been using it?

My mirage quattro has to be strapped on so tight so it doesn't leak that it makes the bridge of my nose hurt, blows air into my eyes and makes noise out the sides.

You really need to try a different mask our review some of the mask fitting tips. You mask should loosely sit on the face. Not be cranked down so tight that it hurts.

I really would take the advice and run from your current DME and find one that will help you adjust to your therapy.

With the medium, I had to do the same as you. Wearing the large, I have a better seal (no leaks) with the mask on much looser. I have only been using this mask a few weeks. The foam cushion seems to help a lot even if it is the wrong size.
