Autoset Spirit software

Post by Rockside » Thu Feb 02, 2006 6:27 am

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the software and exactly what I would need to be able to download information from my machine. I want to be the one in charge of my treatment along with my doc (who has been great so far) but you know how it is with the home health care people they do not want you to have the control. Any adivce you have please let me know.
Thanks

The software is avail from cpap.com - the easiest way to download the data is via a null modem cable (plugs into the back of the case of the Spirit).

The one glitch I have experienced was that my desktop PCs seemed to fast for the serial comms so I used a 5 year old notebook I had & that works 100%.

From the note book I txfr the data file to my desktop pc.

The Autoscan screen is very easy to use and to follow (unlike Encore Pro which is difficult & really needs Derek's My Encore before normal people can use it).

Some others here have been willing to buy a USB-to-serial adapter & they say it works as well.

Resmed do have data card readers for the Spirit but a null-modem cable (about $8 at Tandy) will do the job allowing for the points above.

Cheers

The software for the ResMed Auto Spirit is for sale on the sponsor of our forum cpap.com

I am hoping to order this myself some time in the future.
