Have you looked into getting a quieter mask? Four months ago I upgraded my CPAP machine (Resmed S9) and mask (Resmed Swift II) and my wife complained that it was so quiet that she couldn't go to sleep. That only lasted for a few days btw.

My wife and I have slept in separate berooms for 25 + yrs. She moves around alot and I don't, plus before cpap I snored badly. Post cpap we still don't sleep together. It has worked for us, she gets her sleep I get mine.

I'm a widow, the past 6 years has been the only time I've had my own bedroom and don't have to share a bed:lol: When I was a kid, 4 of us girls and my grandmother slept in the same room, now its just ...ME and my CPAP
Cheers

If she really wants to sleep with you a pair of ear plugs and a floor fan for "white noise" will make things right. It works for my wife.

Good Luck!

I have been sleeping in anothe room for 4 or 5 years on and off. My wife is not an overly great bed partner as she rolls around all night.

Someday, I hope to have 2 smaller twin beds in the room, one for both of us.

I have had to sleep in another room for the whole of my relationship (6 years so far) due to my "epic" snoring. The exceptional nights have only been tolerated by my boyfriend using Ambien. I just started CPAP and have shared the bed for 3 nights now with pretty good success. I truly hope that we make it through the adjustment period and can have a "normal" relationship! The only issue might be that I think both of us have gotten used to sleeping alone.....

A white noise machine would drown out the machine noise. It's noise is more soothing.Even my Wife got use to it.

@Stinkielee

I don't wish to offend Stinkielee. I had to chuckle when I read your post.
It's usually the papper taking the ambien. Not the other person.
Sincerely, I hope thinks work out for the both of you soon.

I only ever snored very quietly, and DH said it used to lull him to sleep. HE snores (but no OSA) so I wear earplugs and that solves my problem. However, now that I don't 'snore', DH worries about whether I'm breathing as he can't hear me any more. We sleep with a box fan so that drowns out any noise from the mask or machine.

We seem to have a pretty good arrangement going - the box fan gives me the air movement I like and keeps hot flashes under control, neither of us is kept awake by the other, and we sleep in a king-size Sleep Number bed so can't even feel the other move during sleep.

So..... neither of us have EVER had to sleep in another room, except for a couple of surgeries where a recliner was more comfortable.

Please see if you can work this out with your wife - it makes me sad that couples sleep apart, specially in another room. Don't get me wrong - DH and I like our sleeping space, hate spooning for more than 5 minutes unless we're cold, but being in the same bed is important, to us anyway.

Cheers,
xena

In spite of my LOUD snoring, hubby has put up with it for over 40 years.
He spent 3½ years sleeping over at his mother's house, taking care of her.
Since I was working and didn't want to wake her, I only spent weekend nights with him.
I was diagnosed several months after she passed.
Now my bullfrog gets quiet sleepy time--He certainly earned it.

For those of you who have active sleepers, I can certainly empathize. Outside of 3 years now in September, we would wake up in a cat fight mood with me yelling at Hubbs. 3 years ago this past September we got a temperpedic bed. No more bed issues, he can now flip himself in mid air to his heart content.
If we had this bed at the beginning of our marriage, for sure we have had a couple of children
