Norco for DME

Post by The Texan » Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:22 am

Is anyone using Norco for their DME or have you used them in the past? Looking for the good, the bad and the ugly about them. They are local to me and in talking to them, I felt comfortable with the answers to my questions, but am looking for real time experience. Thanks

I use them for my DME. I have no complaints at all. The RT at the store here was very helpful in giving me all the information I needed when I first got my machine. I was encouraged to try as many masks as I needed to find the one that works well for me and was never charged for any of them. No problems with getting replacement part as allowed by my insurance.

I know people who use them as the supplier for other DME equipment such as wheelchairs and shower chairs. All of them have only had good things to say about Norco.

The only slight inconvenience I have encountered at our store is that there are an absurd number of employees with rhyming names. Terry, Larry, Carrie, Jerry... So I always have to ask for the RT by first and last name. I'm assuming that is just an odd thing that happened at our store and not company policy. And after some of the DME horror stories I have read, I figure if that's the worst problem I ever have with a provider, I am pretty gosh darned lucky!

I hope if you decide to use them your experience is as good as mine has been.

Deborah

I'd never heard of the company, so at first I thought you were asking if anyone took hydrocodone to dull the pain of dealing with their DMEs, or perhaps fed the opiate to the DME employees to make them more cooperative.

Yes, I have used Norco. I thought that they were very unprofessional, did not explain things, and they seemed like they were forced to do their job. So I didn't have a good experience with them.

Oregon. Sounds like there is a good deal of variation in the service at different stores.
