SNRI and REM state

Post by gpap » Mon Jun 20, 2011 1:17 pm

My Neuro doc confirmed that SNRIs do cause shorter and less vivid REM periods. I can tell you from experience that if I miss a day of the SNRI, then I have rebound that night.

I suppose that makes sense, as a sleep study isn't generally targeted only on apnea. If your meds are disturbing your sleep, they want to see that. Besides, then they can book you for another study without the meds, and bill your insurance again.
