I went for my follow up at the Dr office on Tues and long story short, we have agreed it would be best to fully partner in my treatment. He agreed with me in changing my machine so I could view my data and also change to the DME i chose. He basically said " let the DME know what machine you want and I will write the script". So as you can see in my profile what I chose, basically because I was already using the PR System One Plus C-flex and I liked it.
Dr was impressed with the info I have learned ( from here ) and was glad to see I was being so active in my treatment. I owe a big thank you to everyone here, the post and info I have read here have been very valuable. So on to my sleep results:
RDI- 57.6
AHI- 56.2
OSA events 27
Partial OSA events 330
RERAs events 9
PLMS 0
Basal 02 was 95% w/ 230 desaturation episodes of 4% or more lasting 10 sec or more.
I was worse on my back, but had events in all positions.
The next night I went back to try the CPAP:
RDI - .3
AHI - ? did not list this, so I assume it was 0
OSA events 0
Partial OSA 2
PLMS 69 which kinda surprised me since I had 0 for study without CPAP
Basal O2 was 100% w/ 0 episodes of 4%
They have set my pressure at 9cm. When using straight CPAP for a little over a month I was waking up every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Last night while using the new machine I changed the settings to adjust from 8 1/2 to 12cm. I slept on my right side almost 4 hours straight before waking, then woke a couple more times at about 2 hr intervals while on my back and left side.
I know I have a long way to go and after I am able to download some info, I think I will be able to continue to make improvements.
Once again I can not thank everyone enough for lending their insight to this community.
Great visit at the Dr. Office
Re: Great visit at the Dr. Office
Do you have or want the software?
EncoreViewer 2.0
or Encore Pro 2.4
Couple of members have developed their own open source software.
Your options are
The software is Windows based software so if you use Mac or other OS you will need a Windows environment to run the software.
EncoreViewer 2.0 is the patient version of the software, costs $99 less bulky than Encore Pro but doesn't offer waveform data which might interest you.
Encore Pro 2.4xx is the DME or office version of the software. Big, bulky and sometimes PITA to install but most people manage it quite well. Available by request. 32 bit and 64 bit versions available.
For a brief tutorial and look at the reports from EV check out member Janknitz excellent blog with pictures. Scroll almost to bottom of page to see it. It is a long page.

Onkor online analyzer was developed recently by another forum member and does a decent job but is visually different in report aspects.
http://www.onkor.net/
Finally another member has developed an open source software but it is very, very new and by his own admission, not even ready for beta testing but if you are geeky and want to try it it does a good job.

Should you wish software, send me a PM and I have some hints for using it. You can check out your options and see which suits you the best.

Re: Great visit at the Dr. Office
The reason that you're not getting an AHI... is that you say that you have a PLUS... yet your profile shows an Auto.
a PLUS... is a dataless brick
a PRO or an Auto will give you the data that you think you have.

I believe the Auto is in the works as doctor will write script for what he wants. That is why I went ahead and offered software information.cflame1 wrote:The reason that you're not getting an AHI... is that you say that you have a PLUS... yet your profile shows an Auto

Re: Great visit at the Dr. Office
Thanks for your responses, actually I am currently using the Auto. The reports/ info I provided was from my sleep study, 1st without CPAP and 2nd with CPAP.
I am definitely looking into software, tried the onkor.... lot of info there, trying to digest it.
