resmed quattro ff mask increase in pressure?

Post by doublea70 » Wed May 25, 2011 6:24 pm

I recently changed from nasal pillows to resmed quattro ff mask, Yes I know why would I do that. I have been using various forms of the nasal pillows since 1998 and found recently that the nasal pillows were making me feel like I wasn't getting enough air and I have not been able to determine why. Anyway, I love the quattro ff mask I don't have issues with the feeling of not getting enough air, however, since I have been using it my pressures have increased from 11/12 (which I have been at for 13 years) now to 15/16 and higher. My cpap is set for 10 to 20 but I don't understand why my pressures are going up. Does anyone have any thoughts

Do you have leaks now with the FFM? I normally use nasal pillows but recently I tried a Quattro a 3 times, each time I could feel the air leaking and when I check the data I saw my pressure was higher each time.

I, too have found my pressure is greater with a full face mask.

I have had no major leaks that I am aware of but I have to say that over the last few weeks I have felt great, better than I can remember. So now i am wondering if I have been at the wrong pressure for 13 years. I just needed to know if this is normal.

Do NOT click the links above for Microsoft!!! Looks viral to me!

I switched from nasal pillows to the Quattro and there are more leaks so the pressures do go higher. However, I have lower AHI's because of it.
