Back to the boards with more questions! The beauty of this board is that I'm sure someone on this forum will have had a similar problem.
I picked up my report from the titration this afternoon. My OSA decreased with a pressure of 11. Because of everyone's help I think I understand most of the report. But it also indicated periodic limb movements, 573 events with an index of 94.3. I had 11 arousals with an index of 1.8. What does this indicate? What is a high number for someone with OAS? Now what?
Thanks for all of the help!

Re: periodic limb movements
Now that's a lot of limb movements! The good thing they didn't cause a lot of arousals. So did they officially say you have Periodic Limb Movement Disorder? It remains to be seen what those limb movements do once you settle in to you CPAP treatment. The movements related to effort to breathe will likely improve. If you have PLMD, that may be another story. Try to get the CPAP use mastered and see how you do. If your movements aren't disturbing your sleep or causing any pain. you may get by with doing nothing about them. If you do end up needing to treat them, you'll have had time to do some research and make informed decisions. PLMD has been discussed a lot on here. The experiences vary widely.
