I don't have a data capable machine.....
Re: I don't have a data capable machine.....
Nobody cares more about your therapy than you do. It's your health you're talking about. Just don't think of yourself as a poor patient but more as a "medical consumer" who has a say in his/her treatment. I'm sorry you're having to go through this, many of us did, but it will be worth it to be in charge of your own therapy. Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: I don't have a data capable machine.....UPDATE
A little update, had my Dr's appt and chickened out. I did ask for a data capable machine but the PA talked me out of it said lets up the pressure to 10 and wait a few weeks. I tucked my tail between my legs and left. Emailed DME yesterday to see if she had the prescription to change the pressure and she did, she said to come over to her office anytime she would be in all day. I emailed her back that I was on my way and I left work to go there. She wasn't there. Hadn't been all day. (she failed to tell me that her office changed). Finally I was pissed and tired and frustrated so I fired off an email to the DME and to my Dr's office. Received a call from PA I saw on Friday and she said "I can see you are frustrated and I think its time we got you an autotitrating machine, you seem to want to be on top of this are you an engineer? Nope.
Anyway... I go pick up my new machine after work tonight. I will let you all know what it is when I get it and thanks I wouldn't know to ask if I didn't get on this board. I am sure I will have plenty of questions on the data.
Thanks again!!

Oops not sure if she said auto-titrating or auto-adjusting. At any rate it should adjust to what I need so I don't have to go back every 3 weeks to the Dr and the DME....

It likely will be auto PR System One which is fully data capable which will work with your existing humidifier.sleepyleaf wrote:Oops not sure if she said auto-titrating or auto-adjusting. At any rate it should adjust to what I need so I don't have to go back every 3 weeks to the Dr and the DME....
Can't imagine DME would supply ResMed S9 Escape auto which would mean a new humidifier too. It offers AHI only and not full data.
Let's hope they don't set it at 4-20 cm range. While it will adjust the pressure the minimum needs to be close enough to what is going to be needed so that it can get to the pressure you might need in time to be effective. If it is 10 that you need starting at 4 won't have enough time to get to effective pressure and the events will have come and gone before it ever gets there. Will cross that bridge when you come to it.
