Need new hose - Ontario - where to buy?

Post by MoneyGal » Sat May 21, 2011 6:48 pm

I live in Toronto, Canada and want to know where I can buy a replacement hose. These things are all interchangeable for the most part. I want to mail-order a hose from a reliable supplier who will sell it to me cheaply. Advice, please?

have you tried clinicalsleep? I know they're in BC, but I think they're also on the web and Canadian.

MoneyGal,

Why have not not visited local dme's? Do you know which one's have a good stock of mask parts so that if it breaks, you can replace it by stopping by after work. Which are nice to work with? You need to know which local DME's carry a good stock of stuff and which you can work with. Not all have a stock of stuff you may need and a lot are a pain to deal with. Some don't open during the weekend.

Spend an afternoon and check out the close one's.

You can buy one online from cpap.com. They will charge you $17 for shipping to Canada. I always try to stock up on things like filters, etc if I am ordering from them so that the $17 shipping is worthwhile. Their prices are great though.

They use the Postal Service to ship to Canada so there are no customs or borkerage fees as there are with some online suppliers who use Courier services.

Clinicalsleep.com is a Canadian online cpap supply company that is in BC but will ship all over Canada. Their price may be a little higher than cpap.com but their shipping cost may be less so check out both. I have ordered mask pillows for my mask from Clinical Sleep and they were a good price. I spent $100 and they shipped free. You may have to phone Clinical Sleep to place an order since they don't list everything they have on the website but it a toll free number.

I paid $12 and no shipping fee from clinical.com for a hose.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I have a good relationship with my DME but have no time to get over to them or inclination to pay their (much, much higher) prices.

Don't blame you, we Canucks are being "hosed" by our DME's. I have bought several items from clinicalsleep and have only paid about $1 or $2 more, but have saved the $17 shipping fee ...so in the long run, I come out ahead. My first mask was a quattro from my dme and they charged me $300, in December I bought an ultra mirage from clinical sleep and only paid $175. Cpap.coms price is $167. When I order from the US it takes up to 3 weeks to get here, but only 3 to 7 days from clinicalsleep.
