Hey now,
I got several new mirage quattro masks (given to me by a senior "senior" friend of my mother on medicare who assusmes everyone on XPAP uses the same mask), some unused small/large nasal pillows & lightly used nasal masks I've saved over the years. I'd like to see these go to folks in need but don't have time to send these out individually. Is there a specific person or place that can give them to people most in need of free supplies?
Thanks much

Re: where to donate masks, accessories?
There are many people, both here and on the Daily Strength dot com sleep apnea message board that can certainly use, and qualify for, free supplies. I am strapped for cash, and would love to try the Mirage Quattro, but can't afford a new mask because my hubby is unemployed since 12/'08 and his unemployment checks ran out in 6/'10, and he is STILL unable to land a job....the companies that interview him tell him that at age 59, he is "overqualified". I work fulltime, but since 9/'10, I have had one health calamity after another, and now I have to decide if I would rather buy prescriptions that need refilled or groceries. The churches and food banks help us, as well as caring friends and neighbors, but CPAP supplies are not something they can offer me or others that need them. Please know that there are a lot of people here who would jump at the chance of getting these, if you could just ask for shipping and handling to cover your costs, I'm sure it wouldn't take you very long to "pay it forward" with deserving people. If you want to send it all to me, so as not to require much investment of time on your part, I will gladly list the unused nasal pillows on the Great Pillow Exchange here, and make available the other masks and accessories you have, and send them out as people post that they need them, but first you would need to send them to me so I could do that for you. It is wonderful that you are looking for ways to help others. I will give you my address, but that needs to be done as a Private Message for everyone's safety on these boards. I don't think Guests can use the Private Message feature, but if you would just register a name, any name, here on this board, you could make that feature available to you, and then send me a Private Message. I am a retired nurse, active in the local food bank, and the charity of St Vincent De Paul Society, and know lots of people in need also. Thanks for your post. You rock!!!!

Hi Queen
I'm actually registered but forgot to sign in. I was a frequent reader here when first diagnosed with central SA a few years ago & got lots of helpful info from more experienced XPAP patients. My treatment is going so well I haven't checked in for quite a while.
I'd be happy to send you the supplies to use/distribute as you see fit. I believe their are ~ 5 new/newish quattro ffm's & hope it works for you!
PM me an address & I'll ship them out this week.
Thanks for the reply & offer to help get this stuff to people who need it!

Re: where to donate masks, accessories?
I have sent you a PM- but it won't leave the outbox! I have to go to work now, already late, so I will try to figure out why the PM's won't be delivered later, i have actually started a thread about it, so i am sure i will get some responses. Will try to check for them while at work.. (I work from home, so can do it, but must still make my production goals and accuracy to keep my job.

If I understand correctly, a PM doesn't leave your outbox until the recipient opens it; a way for you to know they got it.I have sent you a PM- but it won't leave the outbox!
