Until recently, hadn't needed much help. 5 years of good sleep since beginning therapy. THEN heart attack and double bypass in Dec. all is well in that area. doing very well as a matter of fact. Here's my dilemma. My cardiologist insisted on a new sleep study. It had been 5 years, so it made sense. Well new rx took me off autopap, reduced my pressure to 9, and went straight cpap.
Now, for the first time since going on the hose, I'm not sleeping well, some of my symptoms are returning(mid-day drowsy, nodding while driving in the afternoon), and it's scaring me. My mouth is dropping open at night. I am up 4-5 times a night. I miss my sleep. Waiting for a return call from the technician, but I need ammo to fight with to get this fixed, and quickly.
Suggestions please?
TIA,
Steve

While you're waiting to hear from someone why don't you bump your pressure to the 95% of where your AUTP was, or a little above (? max IPAP) on the CPAP. It would make sense for them to change your settings if you just told them like you told us- just make a list of your symptoms. Good Luck.

I would certainly tell the tech and your Doc...but, with a double-bypass in the past 6 months, I'd suggest discussing any pressure changes with the doc before doing them on your own. Better safe than...well...you know...
