hello all
I have been on cpap for 3 months now and all has been going as expected
Friday night my mask started to leak I tried to adjust it and gave up. Saturday I had the same problem.
Sunday I washed it like I always have hoping it was dirty/ oily.
Sunday night I had the same problem.
can the urethane seal on the mask wear out?
can I just replace the seal on my mask?
how often should I replace my mask?

Re: mask leaking
I see this is post #1 for you, welcome to the forum. You will find a very supportive bunch here.
I use a different mask than yours, but I find it is helpful to change the mask cushion every 30-45 days, I've stockpiled a couple of extra masks but have yet to change an entire mask because it is worn out. The cushions/pillows will wear out and cause leakage. Your insurance should cover such things, if your copay is unreasonable buy them without insurance through cpap.com. New masks are usually covered every 6 months, which is a good time to explore different mask types. I've gone in to my DME's (equipment supplier) office and tried several on those 6 month increments, nice to have options. I actually plan and look forward to those visits and what I will try out next time (July is my next date with the DME, looking at a different size Quattro FX, and a FitLife total face mask).

Re: mask leaking
Before I switched to the Quattro, I used the Comfort Gel nasal mask. I found that I needed to replace the gel and silicone seal every 3 months.
