software?!?!

Post by r48550 » Sun May 15, 2011 2:20 pm

Good Day,

I've been using the Fisher and Paykel Icon Premo for a few weeks and like the machine but I have an issue with the lack of software available. I have read the very informative threads and have received messages advising that F&P have decided to only allow "Health Care Professionals" access to the software. While I'm not a conspiracy nut, this is obviously a conspiracy meant to create an ongoing need for patients to defer to others to access our sleep data. I know the software is not readily available and has been removed from the international sites including the Australian F&P site. Therefore, I'd like to ask if anyone has access to this software and is able and willing to share it online or point me to a location online that I would be able to access it.

Thanks, Pete.

I don't think the Icon Premo has any software - at least none that will give you anything but compliance data (how long and how often you used).

You would would need the Icon Auto to have more detailed data available and make software worth the investment.

Unsure if this is still active but apparently it was in Feb or this year.

According to cpap.com product information there apparently is software available with meaningful data.

InfoSmart and SmartStick

Track your therapy effectiveness with InfoSmart and the SmartStick. The software offers detailed reporting including data regarding compliance, AHI, leak and pressure readings. SmartStick Technology is a unique memory card that connects directly to a USB drive, without a separate card reader. The SmartStick is used to easily transfer data from your CPAP to Fisher and Paykel InfoSmart Software.

When I googled InfoSmart software I did get some torrent hits for downloads. Unsure if they are active or not.
I have the setup files for F & P software but I believe it is the Performance Maximizer software and not the InfoSmart Software. I helped someone with the install of it and needed the setup files to sort through the install mess.

There aren't many F & P Icon Premo users here and I don't remember seeing if any of those few have the software.
Sorry, I can't help further. I think it is just awful that companies put up such roadblocks when we want the software.
It was for this reason I chose the machine that I did so that I could have easily available software.

Send me a pm tommorow ill see if i can host it on a website where the dload does not take forever ill give you link.

Sorry....just figured it out. This is old school "client / Server" software, so you'll have to look at the client for the good stuff.
