AprilDawn,
For those of us who are sensitive to silicone, a barrier can be made from an old T-Shirt. Just cut out a triangle around your mask cushion and make a small triangle in the middle for your nose. Place it between your face and the mask. I made about 20 from a child's T-Shirt. A cotton polyester blend works better than 100% cotton as it will wash better and you can use them over and over again.
You can also get nice, soft fleece liners that wrap around your mask from http://www.padacheek.com THey are cusom made for your mask and will wash up many many times.
If you run into any more problems with your therapy, just post a question and someone will help you.

Re: Extremely Painful Journey To Happier Ending
Hi there
I am back again fully re-charged with more to my story.
The mailorder company that I received the sample package from was already mentioned here by someone else.
I chose not to mention it because there may be many such providers and there may not be much difference with
each companies material and results.
My results may not be typical and for about $7.00 I was willing to try anything out of desperation and it is a small loss.
My use commentary I already wrote previously but I am not confidant in persuing continued useage.
I see t-shirts and panty-hose used here and elsewhere.
I stuck with my linen table napkins because it's worked for me, not perfectly but most often I get a non-painful sleep using one.
Mine have not been cut or sewn yet, they may not need to be as I can freely breath through the material.
They take about 2 minutes to hand wash and they drip dry in 1/2 hour.
It is about 18" x 18" and I just flop it over my forehead and on goes my fullface mask.
Out of habit I snap the left lower connection first and just prior to snapping in the right side, I poke my finger in to shove extra material
into the mask piece so that it does not touch and tickle my mouth area.
Maybe if I had a grandson with a t-shirt that I could borrow and test this may be another option.
Thus far I have not thought up a way for the same or similar material to work with a nose mask.
The freedom of movement offered offered by a nose mask was awesome.
I forgot to mention that I also used a full face gel mask for 2 nights, also a failure.
Same silicone alergy issue but the gel didn't seem to conform to my face quickly enough to stop the farts.
I believe that my face heats up, is oily and contorts lots when I sleep.
This trial period was all done by a local Vancouver IRS provider at no actual cost to me.
The Province of BC paid the entire trial and equipment bill.
If there is mailorder discounters, for CPAP equipment, I do not know how I would have been able to choose, try on, be fitted and trial use
without incurring any costs and no individual service.
