Anyone else snuggle with their hose?

Post by Sireneh » Wed May 11, 2011 9:04 pm

I've been finding so far that the best way to keep the hose from getting in my way is to bring it under the blanket with me. I fall asleep on my side, and I just kind of have it resting in my arms like I'm hugging it. I don't know what happens as I shift around. I have an insulin pump attached to me all night, too, and I don't know what happens to it, either. They're both just kind of there and I don't even notice.

Yep. I prefer it loose next to me. I tried routing it up over head through headboard and it bugged me and let water run up my nose (it was last winter). That lasted maybe 3 nights.

Husband says when I turn over I pick it up and bring it with me. Sometimes I remember doing it and sometimes I don't.

Yes it is tucked under my arm most of the time. i tried the hose routing method but I felt like a fish on a line and the exhaust makes noise as it hits the hose.

I snuggle with mine too. When I move it comes with me. I fall asleep on my right side and roll to my left side which is where I am when I wake up.

I keep it close to me under the covers. Back when I was trying humidity, there was less chance of rain out because it stays warmer. Also, I am a very light sleeper, when I roll or move I am always checking that I know where it is and avoiding pulling too hard on my ASV unit. I got the hose cosy so its a fuzzy blue warm lifeline that tethers me to sleep.

Might I suggest:
The "CozyHoze Boss" ... Easy to set up and I do alot of traveling and used it on trains & Motels and Tents....
Image
At $19.95 http://www.pur-sleep.com/products/prodD ... rch=&page=
It's a GREAT addition & Aid to a CPAP'er life. Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, it mounts to the wall using 3M Command Adhesive strips that are guaranteed not to damage surfaces and are removed with a simple tug on the tab. Or they can be used for permanent mounting. The product consists of a wall mounting hook and two spring loaded, self-retracting reels with just enough tension to keep the hose up out of your way while at the same time providing low-friction full range of motion for every sleeping position. Traveling is a breeze. Just remove the hook from the wall and leave the reels attached to the hose. Simply re-attach the hook base on the wall or headboard at the new location.

Are we talking about the CPAP hose? Just wondering...

Mine has a fleece cover on it. I keep it close and under the covers when I'm facing that way. When I turn over, it lays on my neck.

Yes, I "love" my hose and snuggle with it... but in my sleep things sometimes get "rough" and I end up crushing it.

I snuggled a bit too closely with it the other night and yanked my PR System One off the nightstand when I rolled over. Fortunately, no damage was done (I've now got it secured with velcro).
