That's what I get for getting so cocky!

Post by Susie1218 » Tue May 10, 2011 9:33 am

So, I've been on CPAP for about 2 months and was telling my husband how well I was doing and that I could tell I was starting to feel better, and then it happened. Last night I couldn't get comfortable....the straps were bothering me.....the mask kept leaking......then I ended up pulling the connector off the mask and couldn't figure out how to fix it in the middle of the night. So after about 3 hours of sleep without a mask I'm sorry. I'll never be a cocky CPAP user again! LOL

Know what you mean!
I was geting in that comfort zone and getting a little to "comfortable" in my ways when I ran into a brick wall this weekend. I was having all kinds of trouble with my nasal mask so I decided to move to the FFM-that just made matters worse. But, the next night went back to normal and i really have no explanation of what was going on except maybe for a little allergies.

There's nothing wrong with braggin' and strutten your stuff a little bit. Now, every time I mention cpap my wife will roll her eyes. Look, you folks have been able to wear an awful mask, drag a hose all over the bed all night, listen to the sweet hum of the motor all night, interpet your sleep behavior on software, even make adjustments AND START FEELING LIKE A HUMAN BEING (a better spouse, mom/dad, employee and beer drinker etc...)! Be like a rooster and start strutten'!

Seems like we all have those "off" nights that defy explanation. Keep on bragging, you're doing great!

As long as they are only 'off nights' you are doing doggone good!
Congratulations. It only gets easier.
