The software you want is ResScan v. 3.3 or higher, right now the latest is v.3.14

The problem w/the S8s and S8 IIs is that the smart card they use is proprietary to Resmed and whilst it uses a standard ACR38 card reader cable, the cable requires a special Resmed insert in order for the card to be read. And since Resmed has discontinued the S8s and S8 IIs they aren't selling or making that cable reader w/insert any more. You can sometimes still find them on e-Bay, but I'd be sure I had one before I counted on being able to use the software.

Resmed has not discontinued the S8II....Still on their current web site

ResScan is software install in your computer.
As Slinky mentioned, you need a card reader and cable to get data from the blower (your xPAP machine) into your computer.
The software installed on your computer will read the data from the card, and show charts with important info -- escpecially about leaks.

If this is not what you were looking for, the you will have to be more specific.
When you say "machine" do you mean your computer, or your blower?

When you click the right and left buttons on your blower simultaneously for 3 seconds, you will be switched to a review screen that will show you your data - less than what you'll get when using ResScan on your computer, but still, good for keeping track of your therapy.

In the Clinicians Menu, scroll down to Options, scroll down to ... I think it is SW followed by numbers. We usually refer to it as the firmware rather than software and use the software term to refer to that needed for downloading our data to our 'puters. Kapiche?? Or is that clear as mud? Sometimes I get carried away and make explanations more difficult than need. *sigh*

The "Software" in the profile's dropdown menu refers to the software used for reading the data - and the menu doesn't have the updated software.

Updated ResScan veraion is 3.14 (version number, not decimal points, which is why 3.14 is more recent than 3.7)

Thanks Slinky.
But in my machine the SW followed by numbers is SX 432-0201 which is not listed in the drop down menu in the Profile page.
What do I have (besides sleep apnea)?
