Good luck on the job search.
Oh, it's not a search. This is part of my normal work for my current (and really cool) employer =)

Thanks for the thought, though!

Our gracious hosts sell a medical equipment bag tag in the Accessories section.
Please point me to that link, I'm not having any luck on my own.

Thanks so much,
welki

Thanks, Talon! I don't have time to order one in time for the trip coming up, but when I get back, will check out policy for shipments to Canada.

Hmmmm ... I'm heading to Jersey soon, maybe I should order one and have it shipped there. *food for thought*

I'll look in the accessories area next time i fly. i also carry a doctor's note in my case at all times.

Word of warning from me when you do fly NOT, REPEAT NOT to put in your cpap case (flashlight or nightlight).
Don't know (i was never told) which one set TSA off, but i was pulled aside for that stint which will NEVER be done again, lesson learned.
From now on they go in my suitcase. Since I got my cpap, i always have a little flashlight with me (even in our own bedroom). So if something occurs during the night, I will not wake up Hubbs. Nightlight is for strange surroundings, I'm less likly to hurt myself.

Maybe I'm missing the point here but why do you guys carry so much stuff when you travel. I bring my machine and mask. If the hose breaks there are 24 places like 7-11 that sell tape. Most hotel front desk have extension cords but I can only think of one hotel (in The Netherlands) where I need one. Just put your machine, mask, and hose in your travel bag or suitcase and hit the road.

Airports are getting much easier too. Very few airports even swab the CPAP unit these days. St. Louis is the only one I can think of that makes you even take the unit out of my suitcase. Unless your going to the middle of nowhere you don't need to plan too much.

When I travel for business the days are pretty much full. By the time I hit the sack, I am ready to crash. The last thing I want to do is to try and find a local store to find some tape to fix a leak in my hose.

As a matter of fact, every time I have had a hose fail, it has been in the middle of the night. The last thing I want to do is get up in the middle of the night, get dressed, run down to the front desk to find out where a local store is, run to the store, come back and fix my hose, then try to finish the night with a little more sleep.

After having 6 hoses fail on me, I find it much easier just to throw a roll of tape into my bag. I expect the hose to fail and am prepared to deal with it quickly and with minimal interruption of my sleep.

If I were on vacation, things would be different. The schedule is much more relaxed, and the consequences of not getting a good nights sleep are not as severe.

As far as extension cords go, I am at about 50%. Half of the time I don't need one, but the other half I find using an extension cord very convenient.

My extension cord and roll of tape add 11 ounces to my xPAP travel bag and since I use them frequently I think they are well worth having when I travel.

As with all things in life, your mileage may vary...

I can't tell you how many times I've had the outlet be on the other side of the room from the bed, and these days I find that hotels run short of extension cords as everyone is traveling with electronic gear.

The tape I wasn't sure on, but you sold me =) In the bag it goes!

Just returned from a business trip, and it appears that TSA is now treating CPAPs like laptops. You just need to put it in a separate tote like you would a laptop. I didn't even have to open the case.

Hmm, that's not too bad then. I can deal with that.
