Data Interpretation

Post by John M. Browning » Thu Apr 28, 2011 3:19 pm

My new PR-1 is arriving tomorrow "as long as the cricks don't rise", and I have EncorePro installed and ready to go.

Now, as Sireneh recently asked about, is there any resource we can reference to help understand, and read the data?

Your best bet is to use the experienced users here to help you understand your reports. You can post screenshots of your graphical data and ask for feedback before you make any changes to your settings, for example. Learning from other people's experiences seems to be the most helpful way to optimize your CPAP therapy.

Yes, and I intend to utilize the experience found on this forum, but I would like to learn to understand the data also.

There is a glossary in the Help files of the software to help with terminology.
Member Janknitz has a little tutorial that explains some of the reporting features.
http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/ Scroll way down the page to get to it. I think it is for Encore Viewer but it is close enough. Not much difference in reports except Pro offers wave form.

The daily reports are the most important items. The rest of it is mostly summary stuff. I figure if I get the daily stuff done right the summaries take care of themselves.

It's not difficult and with just a bit of experience what you see will be easily understood. Post a daily report here and someone can explain what you might have questions on.

That is helpful. Thanks for the link, I can see I have some reading to do on that site.
