Really? Well that changes everything. You're sure about that?
As long as the plane is not over stuffed, it is part of the US rules. These days just make sure you get there early and tell them, you can probably get on first. There are some advantage to being medically challenged.

I've taken mine on airplane trips. You just take it out just like it were a laptop. No biggee. I've also seen other people do the same. I've also heard a TSA person say "if you got a laptop or a ... or a CPAP, take it out blah blah".

I went out of town last week and half forgot, half just didn't take it. Didn't sleep well, but also had the hiccups the whole time and had a cold, so didn't sleep well on account of that.

I left my unit at home (on accident by being in a hurry) for a 3 night out of town trip. What a mistake that was. Especially for a 3 day martial arts seminar. By Sunday I was really dragging.

Just returned from a 4 day trip to Talladega staying in a RV. Can't explain how good it was to be refreshed. Just over a month now, and that battery was the best!

The people next to us had the LOUDEST generator ever. Had to scream to hear each other outside that first day, and he ran it ALL night. Annoying! Funny thing was, he said he had to run it because he has sleep apnea and a Cpap machine... trying to make us feel sorry for him. My camping buddy said, "yeah, well so does he (referring to me), but he bought a battery for the weekend to not annoy everyone!"

The camping spots flooded and they had to move after the first night... feel sorry for the people he moved in next to LOL

I don't know about ya'll, but as soon as I put on my mask, it's like my body knows it's time to settle down and go to sleep. I immediately relax and am out like a light!

Were you at the race in Talladega? That was a good one.

Yes I was at the race! It was an incredible finish. I'm a Harvick #29 fan, and after he blew a motor on Saturday I was glad to see he was in the thick of it Sunday!

Two years in a row of tornados and heavy rain has got to stop maybe next year! ( Now I sound like a Cubs fan )

Good deal! And I agree that rain and tornados have got to go!!!
Glad to see you had a good time and made it home safely.

BTW, where did you get your battery?

I got it from cpap.com. Probably paid too much but I wanted an easy answer and convenient solution. It work great for 3 nights (no heat on the humidifier to save batt life).

I fly frequently and NEVER check my CPAP. I once had to go two days without my checked baggage, and will not chance that with the CPAP. Like the previous posters have said, it does not count as a carry on. Only twice has a gate agent told me I have too many carry-ons, I mentioned one of them was a medical device, and no more problem. As far as TSA is concerned, sometimes they want to look at it and swab it. I generally just put the opened CPAP case by itself in its own bin and send it through. I have never had a problem with it.
I never leave home without it either.
