Itchy nose syndrome

Post by alsal » Sun Jan 15, 2006 3:37 pm

Hi all, New to this site. I have had problems in the past but always rectified them with common sense. After 11,000 hours of good sleep, one thing still wakes me and keeps me from falling asleep.

That is the problem of the itchy nose (outside, but in the mask). I find i must lift the mask, Do a quick scratch with my smallest finger, and reseal.

Any help out there?

Here are a couple of alteratives that allow free access to most of your nose.

The "headrest" and the "Swift"

I had the very same issue with my ff mask. just getting the mask close to my face would kick off itch fests lol.

I got a nasal pillow set up (breeze) and am currently going thru the adustment process for that. Not sure if I'm happy yet but at least I dont have to deal with the nose itch fight.

Alsal:

Yours is not a new problem. Many years ago I responded with a great answer to another poster on another forum concerning this issue. Personally, it is one of those that I got lots of great comments on for years.

Thus I pondered - should I just cut and past in what I wrote before - or link to the original question and answers from November of 2000.

Here is the link to the original question and my response about "Delayed Itch Syndrome (DIS)"

I hope there is not a problem with linking to another forum. In this case the original question helps frame my answer.
