Setting Device Prescription

On the Auto bipap -bi-flex Under device prescription, does anyone know how the Max pressure support works?
It can be set from 3 to 8 just what does that mean and how does that setting work with the high pressure and low pressure settings

Thanks rested gal i read the 5 pages and i came up with this

Leave it along if it ain't broke.

It sounded to me that it just makes the spread between the IPAP max and the EPEP min so it would be closer together at 3 and a larger spread between the two at 8.

I think i will just leave it at 8
