How do you change the settings on a ResMed VPAP S?

Post by AZWildflower » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:03 pm

Hi I just had a new sleep study done last night and my BIPAP pressures are changing from 17/13 to 15/11. I'd like to use the new pressure tonight but .didn't get my machine into the technician to be changed today. Is there any way I can to this myself?

Thanks

Having the same issue. The doctor is out until next week, and the pressure is just overwhelming me. I take the mask off in the middle of the night and can't get a restful sleep. How do I turn the pressure down?

Instructions for many machines are listed here. Just scroll down till you find yours.

There are also some direct downloads for some machine clinician manuals and instructions on how to ask for the others via email.

I have never had to change mine and my machine is a VPAP ASV. I have noticed there is an option to change settings when your SD card is in the computer.

I turned mine up a little and it helped. I think you have to pplay around with it a little to find the right pressure. The techs are close but I found I feel better with just a bit more. You just unplug the machine and hold down 2 buttons and hold them while you plug it back in and it will be unlocked. The two buttons varies from models but it is pretty easy to figure out.

one night at a sleep study is just a good guess

dont take it as gospel truth
you may well need your 13/17

try the 11/15 but if AHI goes up on the average then be ready to move back
Here you go again genius...answering a 7 year old post

All the junior high kids need to be on the look out, the forum's LSAT monitor is out on pa-troll ....
