CPAP Machine in Europe

Post by ericthomas » Mon Apr 18, 2011 6:13 pm

Hello - I'm traveling to Europe (England and France) in a couple of weeks. Do I need to buy a transformer for my CPAP machine or is the electrical converter already built in like a laptop? Any advice would be appreciated.

I would think you only need an adapter for the powerplug, so you can stick it in there?

When I travel to Ukraine, I just used the plug adapter. The manual to my old machine said that was all I needed. Have you checked your manual to see if it gives any specifics?

MOST can handle the change with just an adapter for the plug but to make sure you might want to tell us what make and model machine you are using.

I use a PRS1 in Europe (France) every night Works with the converter that came with the machine.
I went on a business trip to the US and just used a plug adapter (no voltage conversion), worked fine!
So I think you won't have a problem on the other way round (US->Europe) (just don't forget the plug adapter!).
