Dear Friends:
As I posted last night I successfully diagnosed the problem with my 420GA it had shorted when I tried to attached it to a 12 volt recreational battery in November 2010.
I took it to several local dealers they all told me I needed a new one and their were no parts available. I showed it to a co-worker who had been a electronics technician
in the Army in the 70's. He and I felt a fuse was blown but we could not find it the net told me it was internal on the board. I then too it to Mar Vac Electronics in Costa Mesa and a great guy Steve showed me a component that we thought was a capacitor it turned out to be the fuse. He sold me a 3 amp Pico fuse . My co worker and I soldered onto the blown fuse and it worked the screen lit up. It gave me a ER 7, this forum told me it was the blower motor code. My Army buddy and I felt that it was binding but could not figure why?
The Mar Vac guy and I took it apart cleaned it it was gunky and dusty, we also found out that when the blower is reassembled the TA 6 screws should be snug but not tight.
I rebuilt the 420GA a success it works great. If your Cpap dies lets hear about maybe as a community it can be fixed.
