Hi Crazy Cat Lady--love your logo--that is very sweet I have 4 cats --they all needed homes --so they found me I guess lol! Do you have a website? Send it to me?

My Avatar is a picture of myself--LOL! I like to see who people are when I am emailing them so I thought I'd post my own picture so others can do the same.

My user name is from the MOVIE with MEG RYAN in it which I love!!! "Sleepless in Seattle"---so I just chaged it to Arizona where I live--:)

Carrie

I got my first Scottish Deerhound in 1985 and became enchanted by the breed. I have shown 2 deerhounds to their championship and have had 7 deerhounds since then. Right now I have two 2 1/2 year old deerhound girls. They are sisters and my avatar is of Penny, the first of my present 2 hounds.

Ohhh, Thank you. I usually get "what are you doing for dogs?". I used to present Humane Education Class in schools, churches, rotary.
Had to stop, too much exposure. Requests to take in 40 or so cats a month. One time at a church presentation, one
person stood up and said, "You should be doing something for rabbits?"

People think that I am a large organization but it's a very small nonprofit with one volunteer - Me and funded by
myself and spouse and about .02% donations from others who have adopted from me.

Aloha Carrie. Thank you on the logo. There was a website that had a contest and I asked for a logo and had about 30 submitted. I liked this one
the best. It was black and white but I changed it to purple and black.

I also like seeing pictures of people. I might change out my logo and picture, etc.

I had several websites over the course of the 12 years I've been doing this. Never got any volunteers or donations. Just overwhelming requests to take in people's cats. Some they had for 16 years but because they don't use the litter box they don't want anymore. Too much for me emotionally. I now mostly rescue from our local dump, those cats without a human adovcate. I took in 3 newborn kittens 3 days ago that someone found on their lawn. I have a facebook presence and youtube videos. I'll pm you them later. My computer is soooo slooow today.

I like your take on the your name.

cpaptalk didn't exist back when I first went looking for a message board about sleep apnea.

I wanted to submit a post on the only board I found back then, but got a message that I had to be registered to post.
Usually I think awhile before coming up with a user name, but I was in a hurry so just tossed in "rested gal" figuring I might post a couple of times and that would be all.

When I registered on a better forum later (again, thinking I might post a few times, and that would be all. ) it seemed simpler to just stick with that nic than to think up a better one.

Then cpaptalk came along, and I had already posted a lot by then on the second board...so...

My first year on cpaptalk I used a picture of Vincent van Gogh's painting, "Starry Night." Then used photos of myself for several years. My current avatar is a picture I took of a bird in my yard.

I am just a big ole Saints fan!
I find myself saying Who DAT quite often.
This is why I have a Saints helmet for my avatar.

My avatar dates me; Monty Python's Flying Circus entertained us when we were first married,
Probably in reruns even then. Crunchy frog--aka "Trade description Act" always made me laugh 'til it hurt.
A little twist--okay, I'm a bit 'chunky'; but that is currently changing, and I am committed to making it permanent.
Thus, I share that fact with my friends--this is my first forum--ever.
The picture was nabbed from the online frog images. I chose the little guy who really looked like he needed some sleep.

My initials; my face.

Does anyone know somewhere I can buy me some imagination, on the cheap?

I think back in 2006 a co-worker friend of my husband introduced him (then Hubb's to me) to the game World of Warcraft.
My first character (main) is a paladin by the name of Starlette. Hence the name.

I was always falling asleep and when I got my first computer I would often fall asleep while typing so I named the computer Sleepy. Then there was sleepy 2 (newer computer) and so forth. When my kids were little we started showing rabbits. Our rabbitry was Sleepy Bunny Farm and was eventually shortened to Sleepy B farm.
That "Sleepy B_ _ _" fits me pretty well is pure coincidence....
The puppy was looking at me while I was trying to figure out an avatar so....

My online avatar is the result of my 40th birthday party. A dear friend of mine and accomplished cartoonist drew this caricature of me holding a wine glass and lobster at our annual lobsterfest campout and had tee-shirts made of it for the birthday/lobsterfest that year.
