First night with new machine..

Post by Nelliebear » Sat Apr 02, 2011 10:30 am

So, last night was my first night with my new machine. Best sleep I've had in a while. I didn't think my old machine was loud, but I now realize that I was hearing more of my own exhaling than I did last night. They did adjust my pressure somewhat. My OSA has actually improved in the 5 years since I started on CPAP. I think this is probably because I am no longer on Paxil and I think I was even taking Trazodone when I had my study back then. It took me a long time to wean off the meds, but I am glad I did it. Now to finish weaning off the Nasal spray. When my new Liberty mask comes, I think that will be easier.(The DME had to order it, because "Most people don't use those." ) I have been using a system called RhinoStat to help me do that. It has been very simple, and I have cut that waaaay back. So that's been my experience so far! Thanks for all the support!

Nelliebear had a Plus for 5 years and just got a new PR System One APAP according to another post she made yesterday. I think she just forgot to change equipment.

She's got a PR Plus listed, not an APAP

I know, that is what she had. She got a new machine yesterday. I think she just has forgotten to update equipment list.

I got a Plus with C-flex. The info is right. I had an old M-series before. I had to look at my booklet. But this is right.

Oh, so sorry, my mistake. I thought you were getting the APAP that you were talking about. Gosh, you don't have data now either.

My mistake. The machine I posted, I thought they were giving me, isn't what they gave me. Did that make sense?? I am new to all the different types of machines. I don't really know what is the difference between A-flex and c-flex. All I know is the machine felt great last night, so I am happy.
The machine has an SD card is this not for data with this machine?? Or is it just compliance?

Can you ask them to swap it out for data capable? What insurance is being used? Is it rent to own? How important is data to you?
