I'm sort of envious of the creative sleep-related nicks. I chose Mr Bill because its all I heard through college thanks to Saturday Night Live. Love the skits, finally decided since everybody had to make the obligatory Mr Bill joke, I would just go with the name.

When I found the forum, I wanted to choose a nick that had something to do with my sleep issues. Sleeping Beauty came to mind, but that didn't fit because I wasn't sleeping well. BleepingBeauty was more appropriate because, when I'm frustrated and seriously annoyed (as I was then re: how my therapy was going), I can do a sailor proud with my verbal expression.

Since I see roadrunners all the time here in AZ, I went looking for a roadrunner pic. The one I found was perfect, because the roadrunner in my avatar is eating from a box of "expletives" and is bleeping.

(I've only changed my avatar once, when some weird "monkey business" took over the forum for awhile... That was fun! )

Great thread, Rick!

I joined the forum about a week before i was diagnosed with osa. I felt imtired was an appropriate name. When i got here i saw many people making hosehead comments, and being from canada the avatar made sense for the hoser reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1RN3cY ... re=related

Mine's a play off of my name.

My Avatar is a picture I took several weeks ago on an Eagle watching runaway weekend with my DW.

I was born and raised in Southern California, now living in Michigan (!) but I get homesick for CA every once in a while: California girl at heart.
The avatar is one of the many great memories of California: driving up and down Pacific Coast Highway - Highway 1.

The names I tried were all taken, the one I chose speaks for itself. I think I may have been tired when I chose it...it's kind of boring. As for the avatar, I have a bluebird tattoo on my ankle, and a bluebird represents happiness.

I change my avatar ocassionally. The current one, which has been upf for a little over a year (I think), was taken the afternoon after my dad's funeral. We were all out on the porch talking and reliving good times. The puppy is a neighbor's puppy and was out for a walk. He wanted to come up on the porch and visit - when he did, he passed everyone by and came straight to me. When I picked him up he immediately began licking my face. I know it was the salt from my tears that he was after - but, it made me smile. SO, this picture is very special to me. It is my avatar on FB and most other sites is am on. I know I will change it, but for now..... its special.

I know - sappy. But that is who I am.

The first part of my name is the initials of my name "Jason A Blesi" ans I thought jab was to short so I added man at the end liking the sound of it. I have used this nick name since I have been on the web, I also use one or two more if this one is not available. I made my own picture.

My Dad and I had derivitives of the same name (boy version, girl version), to keep it sort of different he started calling my Nan. Everyone else always called me by my real name....but Dad always used Nan. 2flamingos, you are not the only one that is "sappy" My avatar is an old lady......that's me, only I have short hair .
Cheers everyone
Nan

I love pugs as well, we have 6 of them. Oh and since they all sleep with my wife and I they have taken the place of my snoring

My name is pretty simple. I am known as the Cat Lady in my community. I operate a no-kill cat sanctuary.
The crazy part just goes with the job. It's not the cats that make the "crazy" part. It's usually irresponsible
people that drives the local cat lady crazy. My avatar is my logo for my nonprofit.
